둘의 거리

『둘의 거리』는 거리에서 만난 두 존재 사이에 형성된 공간을 바라보는 작업입니다. 두 사람이 한 여백을 공유하거나, 일정한 거리를 두고 서로 연결되는 순간에 시선을 멈춥니다. 저는 그들 사이에 어떤 이야기가 존재할지 상상하며 셔터를 누릅니다. 사진 속 사람들과 직접 대화를 나눈 적은 없습니다. 우리는 잠시 스쳐 지나갈 뿐입니다. 하지만 저는 사진을 통해서도 피사체와 의미있는 대화를 나눌 수 있다고 믿습니다. 그것이 바로 제가 이 작업을 계속해 나가는 이유입니다. 『BETWEEN TWO』 is a project that observes the space formed between two presences encountered on the street. My attention settles on moments when two people share the same open space or remain connected despite the distance between them. I press the shutter while imagining what kind of story might exist between them. I have never spoken directly with the people in these photographs. We simply pass each other for a moment. Yet I believe that photography allows me to engage in a meaningful dialogue with my subjects. That is what keeps me working on this series.
